In our world today, poverty and the abuse reaped from it is reaching epidemic proportions. Now, it is my life goal, along with many others in this world, to contribute to the needs of our global community and bring relief to those who truly need the help. So I figured, why not use the gift that God has given me for this to be accomplished. I wish to empower those whom are less fortunate than myself. I desire to see a world where hearts and souls unite in such an uncommon way, a way in which tells a story about the goodness that overcame things like poverty, disease, abuse, and the oh-so common rejection that we have all experienced from time to time in this life.
For every day that passes, another child hits the streets - poor, alone maybe; destitute. Many people, especially in regions outside of the U.S., spend their last pennies on things like their last meal, on housing, hospital bills, sometimes on even a small cup of water. It's a sad reality. Now, I'm not superman, I can't do everything. But what I can do is focus in on the moment and help whoever it is I can if I can give it. At this moment in time, my heart is set on raising as much awareness and financial/material support for the children of Uganda.kenya, Tanzania, southern sudan, rwanda, Burundi
I am the Director Steven Kakuma of Wama Children of Uganda. Wama Children of Uganda is an orphanage devoted to raising up and empowering children, where they can grow and learn in an environment that is healthy and safe. It is the vision of Wama to see their orphans taken care of, educated and well established, so that they may lead healthy and productive lives.
I am certain that this call is not for me alone, but for those whom will come alongside me, in this vision, who might open their hearts up to the sound of a giving and loving community. So we will be hosting an online fundraising so the building of the permanent structures of the orphanage, the church and the school within these countries where wama children of Uganda is operating sometime this winter to raise as much support as we possibly can. Many invitations will be sent out, for all are welcome to come and witness the amazing testament of love that will be poured out from within you as we make our hearts out for those precious children of Wama in Uganda, Africa.
